The Hawke 4-16×50 Endurance 30 WA SF Riflescope features a wide-angle optical system with long eye relief. The LR Dot reticle is designed for typical centrefire trajectories, such as the .308 Winchester. This makes it ideal for shooting larger game. The reticle also suits faster bullets for hunting foxes and similar quarry. Many hunters prefer using the same magnification for their rifle scope as their binoculars. For this reason, the LR Dot reticle markings are designed at 8x magnification.
This Hawke 4-16×50 Endurance design also caters to European shooters who prefer metric measurements. They can zero their rifle at 100 meters using the center crosshair. The lower aim points are set for 200, 300, 400, and 500 meters. The reticle’s setup ensures accuracy at these common shooting distances.
A useful tip: at 8x magnification, the thick posts on either side of the center dot will bracket the body length of a Roe deer at 100 yards. The Roe deer is a popular size for hunters using this type of reticle. This feature makes the scope highly practical for hunting medium-sized game with precision.
