The trimmer uses bushings that contact the shoulder of bottleneck-type cases, allowing for quick and clean trimming. Simply push the case against the long-lasting carbide cutter. The unit includes a set of 10 bushings designed to fit most popular bottleneck rifle cases.
These bushings support and center the case with the cutter, removing the need for pilots. They are spring-loaded, which ensures a smooth and effortless cut, enabling you to trim approximately 15 cases per minute. Additionally, the Lyman Brass Smith Case Trim Xpress Case Trimmer – 240V features an adjustment wheel for easily dialing case lengths to .001″ increments. Its compact, low-profile housing saves bench space, making it a practical addition to any reloading setup.
