For the really far-out trips to no-man’s land, more extreme praparations may be called for. Items such as communication equipment like cell phones, CB radios, or a two-meter band radio that can reach much farther than a CB and is not reliant upon cell phone towers for communication with the outside world in an emergency situation, are a good idea.
